When Shakiru Odusanya, aka Odus, was appointed General Manager of Lagos State Printing Corporation, LSPC by Governor Ambode, with a clear mandate to turn the place around barely two years ago, we, his friends had no doubt that he will deliver.
Odus, a seasoned Civil Servant and administrator, having traversed the Lagos Public service landscape creditably in the last three decades, saw this assignment as a task that must be done.
He met a corporation with an identity crisis, its main hall, a veritable cash cow, had been cordoned off and leased out, its main printing hall was in dire need of refurbishment and the machines needed to be upgraded and modernised. There was an abandoned administrative building, carcasses of old school printing parts, and low staff morale.
