The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Quadri Obafemi Hamzat is an unusual politician.
Soft spoken, you feel he is more at home as a policy wonk crunching the numbers for an edge fund on Wall Street than being the number two man in the most valuable piece of real estate on the African continent.
When supporters and opponents alike feel giddy about the IGR of Lagos and what it portends, Dr. Hamzat is more focused on the potential for growth, given that about a million people come to Lagos every month and eighty percent are not going back anytime soon.
