Both events remind us of the slow process of learning and the inevitability of change. NPA Bans Touts, Hawkers From Ports, Commences Surveillance Of All Port Activities

In compliance with an Executive Order issued by Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA has commenced the implementation of new security protocols in all the sea ports in the country. By implication, all touts and hawkers are  now banned in the port, while clearing agents and motor-boys will be stopped from hanging around and constituting crowd in the Port. This is contained in a statement made available to the press by the agency on Tuesday.

When Shakiru Odusanya, aka Odus, was appointed General Manager of Lagos State Printing Corporation, LSPC by Governor Ambode, with a clear mandate to turn the place around barely two years ago, we, his friends had no doubt that he will deliver.
Odus, a seasoned Civil Servant and administrator, having traversed the Lagos Public service landscape creditably in the last three decades, saw this assignment as a task that must be done.
He met a corporation with an identity crisis, its main hall, a veritable cash cow, had been cordoned off and leased out, its main printing hall was in dire need of refurbishment and the machines needed to be upgraded and modernised. There was an abandoned administrative building, carcasses of old school printing parts, and low staff morale.
