MY TEN KOBO; AS GANI ADAMS BECOMES AN ANCESTOR

On Sunday, October 15, 2017, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi II, The Aalafin of Oyo, proclaimed Otunba Gani Abiodun Adams, Ige Adubi oolosa molete, National Coordinator, Oodua People's Congress, Chief Promoter, Olokun Festival Foundation, Founder, Oodua Progressive Union and Chairman, Oodua Voice Radio and Magazine, as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland.

By this singular honour, Gani Adams, who already holds 47 traditional chieftaincy titles from three countries, becomes only the 15th person, IN HiSTORY, to hold the Aare title, and the first from Akoko.
He thus became an ancestor, which is the highest honour a mortal can aspire to, without becoming a deity.
Congratulations, my brother. Those ordained by the gods, the Aalafin and the Oyomesi, to install an Aare, have spoken. Any other opinion is irrelevant.
Your commitment to the Yoruba cause, your lifelong pursuit for the propagation of Yoruba values and ethos, and your unflinching loyalty to our ancestry, will ensure that you reign as the Aare for a very long long time.
Emi mo so be, Aase gun!
