KALABARIS ADOPT PETERSIDE, BLAST PRESIDENT, WIFE.

Kalabari chiefs and people of Rivers State at the Atlantic Hall, Presidential Hotel, Port Harcourt adopt APC governorship candidate. blast President Goodluck Jonathan, First Lady and PDP national leaders for alienating Kalabari guber candidates at the party's primary which produced Chief Nyesom Wike.

They are miffed that despite the fact that the First Lady and the President are Ijaws, they still were instrumental to the emergence of former Minister of Education as PDP's guber candidate.
The chiefs and elders of the Kalabari-Ijaw region has last week issued a 7-day ultimatum to reverse the decision "to protect the legitimate political rigjts of Rivers-Ijaws, but rather, the president chose to act in the same manner as he did concerning the kalabari oil fields". the people said in a communique their leaders issued to journalists.
The candidature of Dr. Dakuku Peterside apart from inspiring hope in all Rivers-Ijaws also gives hope to the Engenis, Etches, Ekpeye, Ogonis, Kalabaris, Ndokis and even Ikwerea that Rivers State belong to all of us and ethnic group no mztter how small can aspire to leadership". the statement read by Chief Dr) Broadfield Michael-Jack added.
