LAGOS HOMS RELEASES 54 HOUSING UNITS AT OKO-OBA, AGEGE

The Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (Lagos H.O.M.S) has released 54 housing units at Oko Oba Scheme, Agege in furtherance of the Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode’s promise to Lagosians of continuity and his administration’s commitment to ensure continued access to decent and affordable the Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode’s promise to Lagosians of continuity with improvement and his administration’s commitment to ensure continued access to decent and affordable housing.

 According to the General Manager, Lagos State Mortgage Board, Mr. Dehinde Tunwashe, the scheme which was recently commissioned has large sized two and three bedrooms flats in a gated community, adding that it is to alleviate the housing problems faced by Lagosians as well as residents’ demand for decent and affordable housing.
He stressed that the Oko Oba scheme which is about 15 minutes’ drive from Ikeja the heartbeat of the State boasts of state of the art facilities like street lights, water treatment plant, community hall, external gas cylinder cage, laundromat, security post, adequate parking space, electricity pre-paid meters, estate management office and utility generator.
He also noted that the state government has not relented in its efforts at reducing the housing deficit in the State and with the completion of Oko-Oba scheme, construction is ongoing at different sites across the state which when completed, will be released to the market for sale, hence residents can apply to become  proud home owners.
Tunwase stated further that applications are now open to interested members of the public who are first time home owners in the State, adding that to access the application, prospective home owners should come over to the office of the Lagos State Mortgage Board or log on to: www.lagoshoms.gov.ng
