AMBODE APPROVES THE EMPLOYMENT OF 1200 TEACHERS

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the employment of 1,200 primary school teachers in order to boost the manpower capacity in the State primary education system.
The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), Dr. Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin, who disclosed this in his office today, said that the gesture was part of ongoing efforts of the current administration to improve the quality of education.

He explained that successful candidates were selected from a transparent examination process of international standard in order to select the best candidates.

While congratulating successful candidates who would be joining other teachers, the SUBEB boss urged d them to reciprocate government’s good gesture by putting in their best in the State Public Service.

He said that the Service has a rewarding system which will compensate them for their hard work, dedication and honesty, hence the need for them to prove their mettle to be recognised.
Successful candidates, who had earlier been sent SMS messages, were advised to collect their letters of employment from SUBEB office in Maryland.
