BREAKING; ADAMAWA COURT ORDERS NYAKO'S DEPUTY BE SWORN IN AS GOVERNOR
The Adamawa State governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday has been ordered stopped by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola gave the restraining order on Wednesday.
Ademola equally directed the acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Amadu Fintiri, to vacate office with immediate effect.
Fintiri is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the election.
Ademola ordered that a former Deputy Governor of the state, Bala Ngilari, be sworn in as the governor.
Ngilari was the deputy of former Governor Murtala Nyako, who was removed from office.
Ngilari is contesting his removal in court
