EKITI-11 SENDS AND SOS " OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER!'

A socio-political group, Ekiti-11, says people loyal to the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, have been sending death threats to its members for instituting a suit which could thwart Fayose’s swearing-in on October 16.
In a statement by the group’s Chairman, Mr. Femi Ajiniran, the group called on security agencies to bring the masterminds of the threat telephone calls and messages to book.
He said the threat calls and messages persisted after another attack was meted on a High Court judge, Justice John Adeyeye.
He, therefore, provided phone numbers, which he said had been used in calling some members of E-11 like Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Mr. Femi Ajayi, Mr. Niyi Ajakaiye and himself, among others.
He said, “The members got the threat calls and messages on September 23 via 11 telephone lines,” adding that the group was ready to furnish security agencies with the numbers of the telephone lines.
Ajiniran called on the Nigeria Police and State Security Service to investigate those behind the threat calls and messages, noting that the callers had issued death threats to the members of E-11.
He said that they threatened to destroy their properties and attack their family members if they did not withdraw the suit against Fayose.
However, Fayose described the allegations levelled against his supporters as false.
The governor-elect’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, who spoke on his behalf, told our correspondent that the E-11 was a group of unscrupulous individuals who put their selfish interest ahead of the state.
He said, “The threats are a figment of their imagination. It is another concocted lie and nobody in Ekiti is being deceived by them. The E-11 are beneficiaries of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s government, they are parasites and their role in the mismanagement of the Fountain Hotel will be probed when we take over.”
