which are in their third phase, will be unveiled at the event.
The categories include: Brand Advocate of the Year;

According to the Head, Legal/Public Relations of
Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Mr. Andrew Enahoro, while the winners of the
different categories will be rewarded with work tools, the overall winner will
be sponsored to attend a course at the Thomson Foundation in the United Kingdom
to further hone his/her journalistic skills.
He assured that Promasidor will not relent in
contributing to development of journalism practice in Nigeria. His words:
“Promasidor Quill Awards is committed to setting the pace in rewarding
journalists based on merit for their work and not a self-seeking approach to
get accolades, but a professional platform of assessment, recognition and
reward for outstanding journalistic work”.
Enahoro noted that the media is an important
organ in the life of our society which plays a key role in checking the pulse
of different issues. He said the role of journalists is often overlooked and
taken for granted. Based on this, he said Promasidor’s Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) Strategy goes beyond merely giving back to the society. His
words: “We focus our engagements in sustainable value creation by considering
the dynamics of change in social trends, the environment, business ethics and
find the optimal point where the interest of our various stakeholders assume an
optimum balance”.
