BH TO ABUJA MOBILE POLICE;'YOU ARE NEXT!'

Gunmen 1Fear has gripped mobile policemen living at Mopol 24 barracks, Mpampe, FCT, Abuja after they allegedly received a letter from suspected members of the Boko Haram sect, that the barrack would be the next to be attacked.
According to senior officer, residing at the barrack, the letter would be the third the barrack would be receiving within this year.
The resident said that the latest letter was not being taken with levity due to the last attack on a police mobile training academy in Gwoza, Borno State.
It will be recalled that Boko Haram terrorists on August, 21, 2014, attacked the police school in three armoured vehicles and dozens of motorbikes. Some of the policemen were spirited away. It was also gathered that the school has since become a training ground for the Islamic sect.
A senior mobile police officer living at Mopol 24 barrack however said: “We did not receive any letter! What we got is an intelligence report that they would be coming to attack our barrack. Yes, this is the third time we’re getting this intelligence report and we’re not toying with it and especially not after the attack on mobile police training school at Gwoza.”
It was gathered that although security had always been maintained in the barrack before, but since this latest intelligence report, it has been beefed up.
“Every person, including senior police officers and their cars are subject to intense search,” said another resident. “We don’t know if the attack would be frontal or through use of a suicide bomber. We have to take all precautions.”
A senior police officer, attached to the Inspector General of Police Task Force on Terrorism and Heinous Crimes, said about the intelligence report: “Intelligence report or not, Boko Haram will not dare to attack any mobile police barrack in Abuja. If they try, that would be like embarking on suicide mission. There’s no cause for alarm. We’re on standby 24/7 hours. We’ve not only fortified barracks, but also other public places in Abuja.
