Many supporters who attempted to gain entrance into the campaign office could not because the crowd was huge.

The hall in the campaign office was filled to capacity and there was tight security at the entrance to the office.

Declaring his ambition, Ambode expressed gratitude to all who have supported his ambition.

He charged his supporters not to fight during the primaries.

He set up a committee to carry his message across to the people at the grassroots, saying that he would govern Lagos in a manner everyone would be proud of.

Ambode said he would build a new level of leadership that would eradicate poverty in Lagos State.

Speaking, a House of Representatives member, James Faleke, said he had the right to support whoever he wished despite the fact that many aspirants were vying to get the nod of the APC to fly the party’s banner in next year’s governorship election.

“So many aspirants are running but I decided to come here. I was not forced, I have followed the good work of Ambode at the grassroots level.

“He is a team player, he is a man whose yes is yes. He does not believe in punishing anyone who makes mistake but prefers to correct the person. He has humbled himself and God will promote him. He will become the governor in Lagos State.

“I will deliver Ikeja, Ojodu and Onigbongbo for him and he owes me good governance. It will be a government of continuity. Those who engage in a campaign of calumny should deisist from such,” he said.

Faleke urged APC supporters not to fight during the forthcoming primaries.

Former Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Political Matters, Abdullateef Abdulhakeem promised to deliver the votes of the entire Muslim community in Lagos for Ambode, saying Ambode is the right man for the job.

“I will deliver the Lagos Muslims vote to him. Ambode is a divine intervention. We have been accused by the enemies because of reducrion in LASU fees of LASU.
