Fire on Friday night gutted popular Ibadan, Oyo State market, Aleshinloye.
Shops around the car parking lot were mostly affected.
As at press time, the cause of the fire was not yet known.
Fire service officials battled for hours to put the inferno under control.
An official of the Fire service said shortage of water hampered efforts to curtail the spread of the fire to other areas of the market.
