OSHODI: THE FAILURE OF IMPOSITION.

Although I was born at the Massey Street Hospital on Lagos Island, and spent my preteen years at Koilo at Isalegangan and at onola, went to Ansar Ud deen Okepopo and carried the Area Boy sobriquet with pride, it was however at Oshodi that I grew up, and without being immodest, it would take at least two more electoral cycles before any elected official from that ...town at every level, would be an unfamiliar face, or unknown to me personally.
I went to this length to explain the level of my stake in this town, so as to appreciate the depth of my despair at the level of neglect, mostly criminal, that the incompetence and cynical unabashed looting by the current chairman of the council.
Apart from the road that links the expressway at bolade popularly known as junction to the point where church street links Oshodi road, which is a state road, not a single road is motorable.
I accept Oshodi is not a high brow neighbourhood, but it was a decent neighbourhood, forget the propaganda, Oshodi was, and still, one of the safest towns in the state, and has produced a lot of people who have excelled in their chosen fields.
however, while we accept that the last chairman was not particularly successful, but he managed to maintain our roads, renovate our primary schools and built a modern market, and we expected his successor would built on these strides.
The current chairman was not in the mix, those who wanted to be chairman was already at caucuses when the order came from Bourdillion that the forerunner must step down and accept to be vice chairman, because it was decided that as the son of a former commissioner, he must be accommodated.
The young man has not pretended for a single day that he is in office to serve the people, and at every turn drum it in that his loyalty is to his godfather, not the electorate.
Because of this, Oshodi Road, Afariogun, Ladipo, church, rufai, enihanlobinu, sehinde callisto street, orona and daodu streets are impassable, and the center of Lagos, and a town that never sleeps, is now one giant slum.
And that fellow has the audacity to demand for a second term!, not plead, not ask, not request, but demand!
If Tinubu insists on this fellow remaining chairman, let nobody talk about stomach infrastructure or militirization because APC would lose with such margin it would .make ekiti look like a close contest.
A word is enough.....
