Democratic Republic of Congo female music presenter,
Madinga Sona Maria has been chosen to pair Nigerian contemporary music
star, 2Face Idibia, as hosts of the 2014 edition of the All Africa
Music, AFRIMA.
The two co-hosts were announced this week by the International Committee of the awards.
The
AFRIMA award ceremony is holding in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, 27
December at the grand ballroom of Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island,
Lagos.
Mike
Dada, executive producer, AFRIMA, said the collaboration between the
two popular hosts of the award ceremony will be explosive.
“With
2Face and Madinga, two accomplished creative Africans holding sway and
guiding our distinguished guests and nominees through the programme, we
promise to bring to Africa electrifying performances from our nominees
and invited guest performers,” Dada said.
Mandinga, with a towering height of 1.78m, looks every inch a model. She is the hottest female broadcaster in Kinshasa, DRC.
Her musical show, Cite de Star is the biggest music show in DRC.
A truly home grown music star, 2Face Idibia is one of the most decorated and successful Afro pop artistes in Africa.
He is also one of the most bankable artistes on the continent.
