JONATHAN NO LONGER ONE OF US - AMAECHI

Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi of the Nigerian state of Rivers has explained why he dumped President Goodluck Jonathan and his Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress and its candiadte, Major General Muhammadu Buhari.

Amaechi said the people of Rivers dumped Jonathan because he neglected them and refused to embark on any project of note. Amaechi added that Buhari is the president that is concerned about every Nigerian and their welfare.
“The political equation is no longer the same as it was in 2011. In 2011, President Goodluck Jonathan was our brother, we gave him our votes because he was our brother. Today, is he still our brother?
“My brother is the man who cares if I feed. Our president has lived all his life in Rivers State, let him show us one project he has done in Rivers State,” said Amaechi who has been appointed the Director-General of Buhari’s campaign.
He blasted the Jonathan administration for being corrupt and inefficient, accusing the PDP-led administration of failing to promptly implement the UNEP report for Ogoniland.
The governor noted that infrastructures by the federal government in Rivers State were those built by non-south south leaders like the Eleme Petrochemicals company.
Amaechi spoke on his political direction at a ceremony in Port Harcourt to open the permanent office of the Rivers State Chapter of Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria at Rumuagholu, Port Harcourt.
Speaking earlier, Chairperson of Health Workers Union in the state, Beatrice Itubo thanked the governor for showing up at the commissioning, noting that Governor Amaechi’s leadership drive had pushed her to conceive ideas to construct the ultra-modern state secretariat for medical and health workers in the state.
