DAZZLING MIRAGE DAZZLES AT AWARDS

The movies Dazzling Mirage and Knocking on Heavens door won in their respective categories at the Nigeria Integrity Film awards (Homevida) at the Silverbird Entertainment Centre Abuja on Friday.
The awards, an annual event, is aimed at promoting values of integrity and educating individuals on code of conduct and ethics of citizens in the society. This was the fifth edition.

This year, the awards were presented in partnership with the Pan-Atlantic University’s School of Media and Communications.
Knocking on Heavens Door, starring Ini Edo and Majid Michael and produced by Edo and Emem Isong, won the family friendly category while Dazzling Mirage produced by Tunde Kelani, won the Human development category.
Other movies nominated were Apaye and Purple Rose.
Awards were alao presented to the winners of the short script competition.
Brenda Ogbuka won in the Investors Protection Category with a script titled ‘If Only.
She also won in the Best Anti-trafficking in Persons script category for the script, Homecoming, alongside, Tunde Apalowo with Lost Children and Onyinye Muomah Kelechi, Brenda Ogbuka.
All winners got N100, 000 for each script.
The scripts will be made into short films.
The awards was compered by Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma, with entetainment provided by soul singer, Bez Idakula.
The Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Arunma Oteh, the founder of Homevida, Chibuzo Ekwekuo, representatives from the Pan Atlantic University and Google were present at the event.
